Open the free tool at https://devutility.online/free-notes-share (also at /browser-lan-share). Create or enter a room code, wait until both devices show Ready, then type. The other screen sees the same text in the same box. You can attach images or documents when needed; the main experience is fast, private notes sharing.

Is Notes Share end-to-end encrypted and safe?

Yes — for the connection between your two devices. Notes Share uses WebRTC peer-to-peer transfer. After devices connect, your notes and files travel directly between browsers over an encrypted data channel (DTLS), not through Dev Utility file storage.

Dev Utility does not save your notes, paste content, or uploaded files on our servers. We do not build a chat history database or cloud backup of your room. When you close the tab, that session’s in-memory data is gone from your browser.

A small signaling service only helps devices find each other in the room (room code + connection setup). It does not store the body of your notes or attachments. That design keeps sharing private and reduces risk compared to “upload everything to our cloud” tools.

No data saved — what that means for you

“No data saved” means Dev Utility is not archiving your notes for later download from our side. There is no account, no server-side notepad, and no sellable content log from your session.

You stay in control: copy important text before closing the tab, use Copy notes in the toolbar, and only join rooms you trust — anyone with the room code can try to join while the room is open.

For maximum safety, share only what you would paste into a trusted colleague’s screen. Avoid passwords, full payment details, or regulated health data unless your policy allows it.

How to use Notes Share (step by step)

On device A: open Notes Share, note the room code or scan the QR link, and keep the page open.

On device B: open the same link or enter the same room code. Select the other device when it appears and wait for Ready.

Type in Shared notes — both sides update live. Use Image or Document for optional file send. Use Copy link to invite someone on another network.

Notes Share vs cloud notes apps

Google Docs, Notion, and similar apps store content on provider servers by design — great for collaboration history, but not the same privacy model.
